Organic farm BIOBERG

Tasty vegetables, fresh from the fields into your plate.

Sofie & Nick grow their vegetables organically and follow the principles of biological farming, with love and attention to taste and quality.

Bioberg is a community shared agriculture (CSA), which makes you an inseparable part of the farm

WHAT

Bioberg works according to the principle of community supported agriculture ; you register yourself (and any family members) for a share of the harvest, so that we can grow vegetables in a targeted manner. This effect provides us with a clear picture of the amount of planting material that we need to grow, so that surpluses are kept to a minimum . In addition, you contribute to a fair wage for work and to strengthening the culture of the short chain , in which imports and all kinds of intermediate stations are excluded.

By subscribing to a share of the harvest, you contribute to the risk that we bear as a farmer, but you also enjoy the successes, you help reducing your CO2 emissions and Bioberg offers you  the possibility, through  various activities, to get closer to nature.

WHERE & WHEN

The 2022 harvest season will run from the beginning of May to the end of November , about 32 weeks.

Each Thursday afternoon, from 5 to 7 pm, you can pick up your weekly vegetable box at the pick up point, located on the field  in Everberg, Boeyendaalstraat 27, or  we deliver your package to your home (only within a radius of 5 km).

When you decide to pick up the box yourself, don't forget to bring a bag as we work without packaging.

HOW MUCH MAY THAT COST

A small harvest share is aimed at a serving of vegetables for one adult and costs €375 (€11,71 per week).

A standard crop share is aimed at a couple of vegetable eaters and costs €645 (€20,15 per week).

You pay an extra €150 per child between the ages of 5 and 16. Children under the age of 5 get in for free, above 16 they are seen as an adult.

If you want a weekly delivery , you pay an additional cost of €142 per harvest share.

The benefits of our organic farm

FOR YOU

  • You enjoy 32  weeks of all the goodies that nature has to offer us at that moment

  • The vegetables are fresh and come straight from the field.

  • You come into closer contact with nature.

  • You eat healthy, varied and without chemicals.

  • As the vegetables are locally harvested, you do not pay for a large supply chain. Therefore is the average cost less than when you would shop in a supermarket.

  • Because we work without packaging, you will see your personal waste reduced.

FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

  • The vegetables are grown in an organic way. So no pesticides or other harmful products are used.

  • We increase biodiversity by not cultivating fields with a monoculture, but with many different crops.

  • because of this, beneficial insects and animals find their way to our field. They help us fight pests and diseases.

  • We work without packaging, which means that together we contribute to a zero waste consumption.

  • Together we eliminate brokering and useless transport.
